I think there's a place for a Windows application that does the same. There's Highland 2, Slugline and Beat (free), but there all for Macs. What would be great is if someone could write Highland 2-like program for Windows (and maybe Linux). The advantage is that you can just type without having to put in special characters. You can try it by copying the above text and pasting it into a new file at. You can even create dual dialog simply by placing a "caret" after the second character's name. If you run the above through a "parser" (like 'Afterwriting) it will produce a well formatted PDF.
